Guided Fishing

Includes 10 hours of guided fishing with an experienced, knowledgeable guide on our fully-equipped guided boats. This add-on pairs well the rental boat package; many guests will book a guided fishing charter on their first fishing day to get the lay of the land, learn what bait and tackle is working, how deep to fish, where to fish, where not to fish and so on. Then on their second day they can go out and fish like the pros!

Freshwater Fishing

Rental Equipment

Nootka Sound Resort offers a rental boat package for those who wish to go it alone, or moorage and accommodation for those who bring their own boats.

For those guests wishing to rent boats we offer 18’ Quaycraft fishing boats. Rental boats are seaworthy, 18 ft. welded aluminum boats powered by 90hp motors and 9.9hp kickers, and fully equipped with GPS, safety and fishing equipment. You’ll find VHF radios, depth sounders, electric downriggers, rods, reels, rod holders, net, gaff, and some basic tackle.  Our rental fishing rods and reels (8′ 6″ Ugly Stiks with Penn 330 GTI level wind reels) were chosen to allow anglers to fish for any species they might encounter during their fishing adventure.
